Our Design Process

Keeping our clients actively involved in the design process is important to us. This includes regular checkpoints for clients to ask questions and give feedback. Each project is different, and our design process is therefore customized for each client, but there are still a common set of phases for all projects. Here is the general process we follow but, know that this is only an example.

 

Phase I:  Introduction & Project Initiation 

For every project, we first start with a complimentary 30-minute phone evaluation to get to know you and what you are looking to accomplish.  The next step is to meet with you at your home to gather all the details about your project including your vision, likes and dislikes, inspiration, lifestyle, budget, basic measurements, and photos.  From there, we will put together a proposal, high-level budget analysis, and design agreement for Rose & Lily Interiors to complete your project.  We will then meet with you again to review our proposal, make modifications as necessary, and sign the design agreement. Now the fun can begin!

 

Phase II: Plans & Approval

The first step in this phase is to gather detailed measurements of your space.  We then take this information and build a 3D digital model of the respective areas of your home. This model will show our recommended furniture layout with sample furniture, accessories, and décor.  We will present the model to you to make sure we are all in agreement.  Next, we will produce a digital design board that will show all the detailed elements of the design including color palette, furniture selections, window coverings, flooring, lighting, accessories, etc.  We will then present the design board to you for review and feedback.  We will also update the 3D model with the design board selections to help you visualize the design.  Once the overall design is approved, we will begin putting it all together!

 

Phase III: Orders & Updates

In this phase, we place all the orders for the elements of the design and start any of the modifications of the space.  We will track and manage all deliveries, provide oversight to any contractors, and manage the overall schedule.

 

Phase IV: Installation & Final Reveal

This is where the whole project comes together!  After all the orders have been delivered and all the modifications have been completed, we will place all the elements of the design in place. When installation is complete, will walk you through your freshly updated home and enjoy the big moment with you!
